The Flower Bearer

This 48x48 inch mixed media acrylic painting on wood was manifested in 2021. Her flowers and crown are made of paper clay, giving texture and dimension to the painting. She is surrounded by her consciousness, where she is actively receiving the wisdom of the Ancestors. She has the power and flight of the eagle in her hands. She is enveloped in her consciousness and being actively transformed - like the caterpillars that cocoon themselves to transcend from caterpillar to butterfly. Spirit is ever present in all that she sees, hears, thinks, and does.

Taliswoman

This 36x48 inch acrylic painting on canvas was created in 2013 as part of my Body of Work for the Color of Woman Intentional Creativity®

Teacher Certification Training.

Ailment & Antidote

Chain links represent the chains that were used on my Ancestors and to show the breaking free of those chains. The red paint on the chains represents their blood. Then there's real sand from Cape Coast Ghana that I brought home from my 2024 journey Home mixed with water also from the coast of Ghana to represent the land and water from my homeland - I AM ROOTED. Teardrop shaped jewels pouring out of the kettle (also with water from the Motherland) representing the waters of Home. Sand synergized and exploding out of the other vessel, charged by LIFE FORCE (the ankh). All collecting in the 3rd vessel - chains, sand, and water - and experiencing the Alchemy of the Ancestors to become the medicine in my apothecary that fills the prescription of healing for Self. Deep healing, connection to the Ancestors, and wisdom received here…

The Uncaged Truth

Poetry written for Ailment & Antidote

They tried to cage us - bottle us up - but our LIFE FORCE broke us free.

They tried to shackle us - chain us up - but our blood driven determination broke us free.

Now the wisdom of LIFE + the blood stained chains are alchemized by the land and the waters of HOME.

The Ancestral Wisdom is imparted to me.

My vessel is being filled by the true knowledge of my ROOTS.

The synergy of all that I have been brought through is transparently apparent.

And I have arrived…

I AM my Ancestors wildest dreams.

Sangoma .:. Medicine Woman

This 30x40 acrylic painting on canvas was completed in May 2025 during the Legend Course offered by MUSEA Center for Intentional Creativity® and Consciousness.

During the Medicine Painting process, I first became angry - for what happened to the Afrikan people and for the way Black people are treated in this country to this day. Her original name was "That Bitch Kimmie #FAFO". It's just how angry I was. But by the time the Medicine Painting process was complete, She told me her name is "Sangoma .:. Medicine Woman".

The Ancestors imparted these Words of Wisdom to me:

"Child, you are a beacon of Light and love.

Do not fret about what was done to Us.

We gave our lives so that you can live FREE.

Take advantage of the wisdom that you hold inside -

Wisdom embedded in your DNA through Us.

And continue to strive to complete the

Sacred Assignment which We have given you.

You are loved and held always and in all ways."
